GENDER TRAITS TEST [aka "the Bem Test"]


Below you will find a Gender Traits Test which is a way of judging just how 'male' or 'female' you are in your behavior and feelings. You may wish to print it (2 pages) and take it.

the term describes you best according to the following scale:

1 = Never or almost never true     5 = Often true
2 = Usually not true     6 = Usually true
3 = Sometimes but infrequently true     4 = Occasionally true     7 = Always or almost always true

Scoring:
Total the second and third columns.
The first column is what might be called a dummy column
in order to keep you from skewing the test while you're taking it.

Total from the second column is Score A:
Total from the third column is Score B:
Subtract Score B from Score A for the Difference Score:

For instance,
if your A score is 90 and your B score is 70, it would be 90-70=+20 (positive 20);
if your A score is 70 and your B score is 90, it would be 70-90=-20 (negative 20).
